Three of my photos in print!

As you may have seen in a previous post, several of my photos made the spread of the Holiday 2013 edition of Edible Grand Traverse, thanks to my friend Jacob Wheeler’s accompanying article. As it turns out, that was a great way to get my foot in the door at a local publication that I’ve long admired.

Edible Grande Traverse was looking for some stock photos for their spring calendar of events, and it just so happened that I had some “stockpiled”. (See what I did there? I’m so punny!)

Back in 2012, Andy McFarlane — former director of the Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association — had me take photos of the LPVA’s annual Spring Sip & Savor, which usually happens around the first weekend of May. The 2012 Sip & Savor was in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, and participants were encouraged to wear funny hats.

I’m so glad that these photos worked for EGT‘s calendar. Check them out below or in the online edition.
