Palestine Photos in Edible Grande Traverse Holiday 2013

My photos and Jacob Wheeler’s text in print!

Great news! My friend Jacob Wheeler wrote a story about a fundraiser dinner that we both attended in August 2013 at The Box, which used to be a cigar factory in downtown Traverse City. The space has been renovated by the current owners, who live above the first-floor common space, which is now a very cool venue for events. Our friend Nasser Abufarha, the founder of Canaan Fair Trade, came all the way from Palestine to make a traditional meal with chefs from local favorite The Cooks’ House at $150 per plate!

The event was a fun way for the Run Across Palestine team to relive our experiences from February 2012 with good food and good company. Jacob documented the event in words for Edible Grande Traverse, and I documented it in photos. See the spread of both below or click here for the online edition!
